Matthew 10: Freely you have received, freely give.

Clutton with Cameley is a busy Parish with two Churches and two Churchyards to maintain and improve, to ensure that visitors find the standard of facilities that we all expect today. This is not an easy task when dealing with listed buildings that were built hundreds of years ago, when heating and toilets were often not available in the local houses let alone the Church! Parish Churches do not receive any funding from the Government and all the running and maintenance costs are paid for by the collection taken during each service. We could not exist without the generosity of the congregation who give of their money, time and talents to keep the Churches open, clean and welcoming. We are also grateful to Cameley Parish Council which contributes towards the grass cutting in St James Churchyard.  Can you help?

Fundraising events - the Church family holds fundraising events throughout the year - coffee mornings, concerts etc. Please come along and support us, or maybe you would like to hold an event on our behalf?

Volunteer - We usually have a working party to spruce up all the Churchyards each year, come along and lend a hand, it is advertised in the village magazine, social media etc.

Donate - if you would like to make a one off or a regular donation to help with the upkeep of the Churches, we would be very grateful. Please contact the treasurer (see contact page on this website) for methods available and Gift Aid forms.

Legacies - if you have appreciated the facilities and support offered by the Church then you may wish to leave a lasting gift in your will, which you can arrange with your solicitor.

200 Club - the Church runs a 200 club where all funds go towards the running of the Church and the repair and improvement of the buildings. This brings in much needed income and gives members a chance to win prizes of £100 and £50 each month and the annual prize of £1000. More details are in the village magazine, in the Churches, or contact the treasurer (see contact page on this website).

Contribute - St Augustine's Church is open every Sunday from March to October, until dusk. If you would like to come in and look around, or visit our prayer wall, or sit in quiet reflection, you are very welcome. There is a small donations box to the side of the main door if you would like to make a small contribution towards the upkeep etc.  There are boxes for donations at the other Churches but these buildings are not left open regularly. If you wish to visit please contact the Rector or Parish Office.

Clutton Food larder - is situated in the shed behind the village hall in Clutton. Volunteers collect “on-date” food from supermarkets and place it in the shed for all to use, to prevent food waste. This also helps those on limited incomes. Food is also donated by residents and purchased by donations. You may donate any tinned or packet food, toiletries, pet food etc, or produce from your garden/allotment, by placing it in the larder (there is no provision for chilled or frozen goods). Please do not donate alcohol or products that may be dangerous if accessed by children e.g. bleach, laundry tablets etc. If you would like to make a financial donation towards the larder, please contact our treasurer, Roger Snary, the contact details are on the Contact Us page of this website.

Floodlights - you may like to have St Augustine's floodlit to mark a special anniversary or event. A charge is made for this which covers the cost of the electricity and a small contribution to Church funds. If you would like to arrange this please contact Pat Williams on 01761 452183. The other Churches do not have floodlights.

Thank you for your interest, support and generosity.
